So you can simply and fast change the old gearbox against this new one. Straight fit without hassle of getting new boxes forced! To fit a new and longer geared box does make a lot of sense when the power output of your engine is higher than the stock item. With longer gearbox ratios you can transform the power of your engine unit in higher top speeds. Additionally your cylinder and the rest of the engine are not so stressed because of the lower revs now. To fit a higher gear ratio to a standard engine is not recommended because most of the standard engines are not powerful enough to pull the gear box anymore.
